THE VILLAGE talks to
Mrs GAIRONESA
DIEDERICKS
We were warmly welcome to Mrs Diedericks
beautiful home. We explained that this month
we want to pay homage to woman like her
who has made an impact and dared to be the
difference.
She sees herself a volunteer for the
community, started a NGO called “Stitching”,
she feels no kid should go hunger at any time.
Powerful & strong woman inspire her, like
Graca Michell, a woman who take a quiet time
to reflect on issues and when she emerge is
like a phoenix. Margaret Thatcher is an Icon, a
lady that got her country productive by taking
on the Unions.
When we asked about whether she think a
female president would be any different ? she
answer with an overwhelming Yes! a female
President needs to balance life between
working for her family and the nation, that
balance makes her the best person for our
nation.
Mrs Diedericks feels everyday should be
Woman’s Day, looking back at the last three
years, more children and woman has been
rape in Woman’s month, Woman’s Day must
be highlighted every day.
Her passion is youth development, trying to
find support and opportunities for the youth in
our community, and youth don’t always feel
comfortable to ask for help. Fear stops people
from moving forward, asking for help.
We ask what she thinks is the biggest issue
facing women of any/your age today.
There is no equality, woman do more than
males but still earn less, it should be equal
pay for equal work.
The best woman attribute is her brains, when
she use it correctly, she can conquer the
world.
Mrs Diedericks says her husband and
children helps her shape her life, being truthful
to herself, same advice she shares with other
woman...Always be truthful to you
