Rashaad Shade was first the owner of the Strandfontein cricket club before he hand to his brother

With barely proper cricket team and cricket equipment Rashaad first played at Blue Waters while construction took place at Strandfontein sports field

Playing condition was bad playing on an incorrect field and a flat gravel pitched using a cork ball to bowl with travelling was even worst using one car to travel to blue waters with 11 players only

Rashaad Shade only cricket team were boys from the local high school and two men working adults

When the Strandfontein sports field was completed Rashaad sat in cricket meetings and spoke to people in the league to sponsor cricket equipment

Then 1981 strandfontein cricket club open there doors to Cape Town district cricket board

Slowly got a junior team started playing there first match at Turffel sports field

a few years later on at the strandfontein sports field cricket

Practice was little heavy with only one practice piched to train with and not to long the council put in four cricket nets and 3 playing grounds

today Rashaad Shade can look back at all his efforts and success getting in western province coaches, his 2 brothers and 2 sons to play for the cricket club and including rashaad shade wife Noorah shade who was sectary, bookkeeper and drove some of the cricket team around to matches Rashaad getting out quality players one being a South Africa player JP Duminy who started his cricket career first at strandfontein cricket club
